Dorothy Lee Jones Brock

Dorothy is predeceased by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Brock, and is survived by her daughters Cecilia Marie Goodier and her family, Linda Strauser and her family, Sara Typhair and her family, and her son Robert “Bob” Brock and his family.

Dorothy grew up in South Bend, Indiana and became a life-long “fightin’ Irish” fan of the University of Notre Dame. She met Tom in Indiana and they were married in 1956. In 1962, they moved to Texas for Tom to pursue his career. After moving to Texas, Dorothy obtained her Bachelors Degree in Nursing and spent her nursing career in the area of orthopedics before retiring in 2001. Dorothy enjoyed being involved in her church, local arts and music events, and family activities. When Dorothy and Tom both retired, they spent the next several years traveling around the United States in an RV, as well as trips to Europe and Australia, and several cruises before settling in Whitney, Texas. They were married for 67 years until Tom’s death in 2023.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Calvary Hill Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will occur Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Calvary Hill Main Mausoleum North Chapel. A committal service will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
