Dorothy Mae Claxton, age 88 went home to heaven August 18, 2012. Dorothy was born near Caldwell Texas October 22, 1923 to Anton and Mary Hoyack. She married Henry Brannan Claxton at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola Florida October 22, 1944 and moved to Dallas with Brannan where they raised their family. Dorothy was a loving wife and mother and was very active in the Woodrow Wilson High School PTA, East Grand Baptist Church and Grand View Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Brannan; sons, David Claxton and wife, Mae and Bill Claxton and wife, Marcie; daughter, Cathy Taylor and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Kelli Jo, Amanda, Casey, Zack, Bonnie and Brannan and great grandson, Malcolm. Visitation will be 7-8PM Tuesday August 21 at Grove Hill Funeral Home and the funeral will be 2PM Wednesday August 22 at Grove Hill Funeral Home.
