Dorothy H. Emmons

She and her husband, Charles Emmons, Sr., who precede her in death in 2002, were married 62 yrs. and had resided in Dallas since 1952. Her life was devoted to her family and she and Charlie were active in the life of White Rock Methodist Church for fifty years. Mrs. Emmons was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Edwin J. Kiest Chapter. She is survived by 3 children: Charles Jr., (Carol) of Chicago, IL; Susan Camacho (Frank) of Sherman, TX and Nancy Pennington (Richard) of Allen, TX; 6 grandchildren: Kenneth Hansen (Amy) of Amarillo, Shannan Crider (Kirk) of Garland, Greg Hansen (Melissa) of Shady Shores, Philip of Chicago, Christopher Jackson of Plano, Benjamin of New York City; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Sattem (Ralph) of Houston & several nieces and nephews.

Services celebrating Dorothy’s life are Friday, October 15, 10:00 AM in the Chapel at Sparkman/Hillcrest, and conducted by Rev. Ben Shinn from Walnut Hill UMC. Visitation is Thursday, October 14, 3:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home.
