Dorothy Louise (Newman) Hunt formerly of Pineville, LA passed away peacefully in her sleep in Plano, TX on 8/5/17.
Daughter, sister, mom, aunt, nurse, gardener, friend, she wore many hats but her primary role was that of nurturer. Be it a human or plant she had a kind word for everyone. Sweet, good and kind are the words most often used to describe her although she was far to modest to describe herself as such.
Left to cherish her memory is daughter Paula Hunt and husband Detlef Schuermanns, niece Valerie Korba and partner Patrick Helton, nephew Bret Korba and wife Jenny, nephew Mark Korba and wife Jennifer, the Gleaners Class at First Baptist Church Carrollton, and numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park. A memorial service is planned for a future date.
