Dorothy LaDue

Dorothy Demarest LaDue, age 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2020. She was born June 14, 1930, in New Orleans, LA, to Claude and Lucie Demarest. She attended Ursuline Academy in New Orleans until her family relocated to Dallas, where she graduated from Hillcrest High School. Dorothy loved spending time with friends, traveling, and was an avid bridge player in earlier years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne LaDue Weiner and Stanley Weiner, son Jack Richard LaDue, daughter Barbara Ann LaDue, daughter-in-law, Amy Burt LaDue, and grandchildren Matthew Stuart Nitishin and his wife Brooke Van Poppelen, Jack Luke Nitishin, Chase Andrew LaDue, Parker Elizabeth LaDue, Mary Katherine LaDue, and Jack Richard LaDue. Dorothy is also survived by her brothers Thomas Demarest and wife Belle Marie; Richard Demarest and wife Eva as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Charles Kevin LaDue, and her sister, Marilyn Demarest Maack, and her beloved dog, George Wesley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
