Dorothy Mae and Buster Lee Bailey

Dorothy Bailey born May 19, 1926 in Dallas Texas died June 26, 2011. Buster Bailey born February 21, 1928 in Crandall Texas died February 8, 2019. They were married September 22, 1949 in Rockwall, Texas.

Mr. Bailey served as a radio operator in Army Air Force from July 1946 to May 1948. After being severely injured in a plane crash off the coast of Palmyra Atoll, he was honorably discharged. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans.

They were both long time members of Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas Texas. Mr. Bailey served as an elder for many years and Mrs. Bailey worked in the preschool. They both enjoyed many trips with church youth groups as well as youth mission trips. They were also active members of the 49ers and travel groups.

Mr. Bailey was proceeded in death by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy; sister, Peggy Davison; and a granddaughter, Heather Law. Mrs. Bailey was also proceeded in death by her sister Mary McCullough.

Survivors include a sister, Betty Truitt of Irving; two daughters, Elizabeth Bailey of Hewitt and Sally Law (Bob) of Goliad; a granddaughter, Amanda Seamans (Chase)of Conroe; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for both Buster and Dorothy Bailey will be at Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas, May 18, 2019, visitation 10am to 3 pm and they will be laid to rest TOGETHER FOREVER.
