Born November 1, 1926, in Dallas, Texas, she spent most of her life in Dallas. She earned an Associate Degree and worked for many years as a nursing home administrator.
She is survived by her sister Mildred Earl, brothers Alfred Odum and George Odum, three daughters - Shirley Gooch and husband Randle, Sandra Crawford and husband Chris, Debra Dickinson, and stepdaughter Sheree Baur. One daughter, Wanda Vanderford, preceded her in death. These families gave her 12 Grandchildren, and 21 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Turning Point Church of God, 1020 E Pleasant Run Rd, DeSoto, Texas.
