A bright and happy child, Dylan’s life took a turn when he was twelve years old and was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which resulted in surgery and radiation treatments. In later years, he suffered injuries in vehicle accidents that required spinal surgery and disc replacements. In his last few years, the effects of his radiation treatments brought about the onset of acute leukemia and long stretches of chemotherapy.
Despite his sufferings, he remained steadfast in his faith and maintained an unwavering optimism that touched the hearts of those around him. He was blessed with many friends and three children: Zachary, Elaine, and William, as well as his grandchildren Alice, Sam, and the news of another on the way! In his life, Dylan was known for his expertise in construction, and remodeling, as well as a masterful skill in woodworking, carving walking sticks, pipes, and many other things.
Dylan always lived with great courage and great faith. Over the years, even in the midst of his pain and suffering, he felt an indescribable peace as he experienced the nearness of God and the promises of Christ. True to his own nature, Dylan’s only earthly concern was for the grief that his family, especially his children, would experience with his passing.
Dylan went to his heavenly home on September 20th, 2026, at the age of fifty-six. Dylan is survived by his children Zachary and his spouse Sarah, Elaine and her spouse Alan, and William, as well as by Nica, the mother of his children. He will be greatly missed by his own mother, Mary Ellen, his father, Larry, as well as his brother and sisters, and fourteen nieces and nephews who loved him and will miss him truly.
