

Eddie Kevin Coleman was born on November 23, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois to the parentage of Ester Coleman and Magellan Hudson Coleman. He passed away on December 6, 2025. Eddie gave his life to Christ at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church of Chicago, Illinois. In 1968, he moved to Pembroke, Illinois where he continued to build the foundation of a life marked by perseverance and purpose. He attended St. Anne Community High School and later pursued studies in Accounting at El Centro College. He was a Transportation Supervisor for Dallas County and a proud Army Veteran. Mr. Coleman exemplified resilience throughout his life, facing challenges with strength, determination, and quiet dignity. His steadfast character was evident both in his military service and in his unwavering commitment to those he loved.
Mr. Coleman married on February 20, 1973, and was a devoted father to his four children LaSonja Carr, Edwina Coleman, Davonda Coleman, and Eddie Coleman Jr. A cherished grandfather to his ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, all of whom were deeply influenced by his guidance and enduring support.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Ester and Magelean Coleman, brother- Richard Coleman, sister- Doris Coleman, brother- Wydell Coleman, brother- Donnell Coleman, brother- Arthur Coleman, and sister- Barbara Phillip. He leaves to mourn his death and celebrate his life sister- Janette Bishop of Clarksville, Tn. (son in law- Larry Carr) and a great host of nieces and nephews. His life of resilience, dedication to family and friends, and honorable service will be remembered with deep respect and gratitude.
