Eddie Roy Thompson

Alpha - September 22, 1957 – Omega - January 3, 2023

Eddie was born September 22, 1957 to Durel and Kathryn Thompson in Dallas, Texas. He was the fourth of five children. He received his formal education from David W. Carter High School and then went on to attend Mountain View College. He was employed as a technician at Texas Instruments for many years.

Throughout the years Eddie enjoyed getting together with family and friends on all occasions, he enjoyed playing dominos, and cheering on his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys.

Eddie cherished the relationship he had with his children and grandchildren.

On Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit in Dallas, Texas, Eddie Roy Thompson passed away into his everlasting life of Glory. Eddie was welcomed by his father Durel E. Thompson, and one brother Robert Thompson.

Eddie will forever be loved and remembered by his loving mother, Kathryn Thompson; his dedicated and devoted children: son, Cedric R. Bailey and daughter, Shaytra L. Thompson; his three heart beats, his grandchildren, granddaughters, Cetaria Bailey and Tamaria Bailey and grandson, Kalin D. Edwards; brothers, Windell Thompson, Larry Thompson, and Rickey Thompson; sister, Cynthia Anderson; sister- in-Law, Tarunna Thompson; aunt, Sylver Palmer; uncle, Robert Starnes Jr. and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
