Edgar, my heart is breaking as I write these words. Tears fill my eyes and flow down my face. To think that you are gone from here, so soon in life. I was just thinking of you just days before and said prayers for you, for God to watch over you. You were my daughters friend in school and she admired you for your love of God, and how talented you were with your trumpet, and how sweet and kind you were. Her heart is breaking also. I will always remember your smiling face and your “ Hi Mrs. Olson!” This is who you were and this is what I will remember. I will not understand why you are gone so soon but, God’s ways are higher than our ways. Rest In Peace.

To your family, I am so sorry for your loss and my prayers are for you all and to your friends who are also struggling with your passing, that God may give us all strength to bare the grief we are feeling.

I'm sorry for your loss. I remember Edgar as a really smart, intelligent individual. We had fun times with all our friends in band. Knew him since middle school. It's surreal what has happened. God bless your soul, your family and may you be at peace my dear friend.

Meet Edgar Jr. In one of the many youth meetings we attended together. Always smiling, joking, being silly and making everyone around him feel welcomed.

I remember the last time I was able to hug him and call him my favorite ginger bread. Youth Meeting in Dallas 2016.
That weekend we had a long conversation and I remembered him saying to me "Leidy I am so happy to be serving our country, but even more I feel God so close to me many times."
He's gone too soon, but as we heard that weekend in 2016 God as a purpose for each of us, and no matter the path we take. God's hands will always reach us when we see no way out. Edgar's Jr purpose was served and he's now resting.

To the Tirado family please accept my condolences. May God console your hearts and fill them with the many great memories you share with Jr.

All this week I have had flashes of memory of you in my life. Of you with my family, this shock of red hair amidst the dark heads of my brothers. Of you helping me do the dishes when I babysat you, a wee adult in a child's body. Of your smile, so eager to partake in life. Of that time you fell asleep in church and started to snore. Of you singing, dancing, acting your heart out in Guys and Dolls. Of dancing with you at Ada's wedding. Of the way your voice blended with Sam's when you would sing Hallelujah. So much music, of course. Of our talks. You were such a presence in my childhood that I struggle to think of times growing up in which you WEREN'T there.
I write this through tears of grief, helplessness and gratitude for your short life. Rest easy, little Austin, I won't forget you.
