Beloved daughter, wife and sister, Edith (Edye) Florence Cohen Sneegas passed away on December 11, 2023. Born September 4, 1956 in Marshall, Texas, she was the oldest daughter of Lewis and Yvonne Cohen.
Edye attended Ursuline Academy in Dallas, Texas. Thereafter, she held various positions in sales and in the travel industry. In 1983, she was joined in marriage to Richard Sneegas in Dallas, Texas, and they remained married until his death in 2018.
Edye was a talented decorator and possessed a keen eye for art. She loved animals and was a warm and caring “mommy” to her last cat, Tempo. Edye is survived by her loving sister, Attorney Janice E. Cohen, who remained a constant presence and comfort to Edye during her final years. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Tempo.
Services will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 75225.
