I was honored to know Edward, as well as Doris and family, during the last months and days of his life. It saddened me to see the sparkle in his eyes and smile on his face fade with the passing of time. His race may have finished but his eternal reward has just begun. I was privileged to serve Edward as his chaplain.

It was Broadway that introduced my Mom & Dad to each other. Around the time of Mom's funeral and about four months before my Dad passed..in a conversation my Dad referred to him as his best friend. Seems ironic that Broadways memorial service falls on what would have been my Dad's 91st birthday. Quite a special reunion in Heaven I might imagine. In a number of ways Broadway and Doris were like second parents to myself and my sister. Ronna, Janice, and David...you are in my prayers and I grieve with you.

it was Broadway that lured me to Texas from Chicago in 1988 upon his retirement from Santa Fe Railway. I had visited him on many occasions during trips to the Capitol in Austin. He was beloved by all at the Texas legislature and he was a tough act to follow. He made the transition easy for me even though I was a transplanted yankee. I still lobby for BNSF in Austin but I stand on the shoulders of a gentle giant. God rest his soul. May his family find comfort in the knowledge that he was loved by many and respected by all who knew him.

To The Jordan Family,
I had pleasure of working with your Dad, during the time he was with the Santa Fe in Dallas.  He was a member of the Ex. Dept.of the Santa Fe and looked after Gov. Relations for the company in Austin.  He was such a fun person and so well like by those who worked with him.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Doris, Janice, Ronna, David, and family members--I have such wonderful memories of the good ol' days in Belen!  Broadway always made the room seem a little brighter, the activity seem a little more fun, and he never got mad at us for anything we every did!!  The many holidays, special occasions, and regular gatherings with our two families seemed like such an ordinary part of life.
