Edward A. Reedy

Edward Allen Reedy, age 76, was born in Prairie Lea, TX on February 6, 1937 and died on June 17, 2013, in Carrollton, TX. He grew up in Austin, TX and attended the University of Texas in Austin where he received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. He received his Master’s degree from the University of Dallas. He moved to Dallas after college where he lived until moving to Carrollton, TX, in 2010. His career was spent working in the aerospace industry and he retired from Lockheed Martin. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Diane Reedy; sister, Linda Wilson and husband, Leslie, of Cedar Park, TX; sister-in-law, Birdie Reedy of Abilene, TX, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Oma Webb Reedy, his father, Garland Vivian Reedy, and his brother, G.V. Reedy, Jr. Graveside services will be held on June 19 at 1:00 p.m. at Sparkman/Hillcrest at 7405 W. Northwest Highway. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on June 18, 2013. Special thanks to Vitas Hospice and to Carrie, Michael, Barbara, and Cecelia. Thanks also to our Lakeview at Josey Ranch family for all of their love and support. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Fund or the Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
