

Edwin (Eddy) Seymour Mann, born 3/26/20 in Brooklyn, NY passed away 10/23/12. A born athlete, you could always find Eddy at the beach in Coney Island swimming, playing handball, baseball, or football.
Eddy attended Lincoln High in Brooklyn & his “call to fame” was his position as star quarterback. Along with his passion for sports, especially being the #1 Dallas Cowboy fan, was his love of music, especially the big bands. After graduating high school he worked at the 1939 World’s Fair in New York as a tour guide & later enlisted in the Air Force. Eddy’s parents decided to move to Los Angeles to continue in the Auction business where he met the love of his life, Janet. In 1954, a business opportunity came at the right time & Eddy moved his family to Dallas. Eddy & Janet were partners in love & in the concrete wall business for over 40 yrs. Eddy continued his love of sports playing racquetball & aerial tennis at the JCC. He also played catcher on a senior baseball team, The Codgers.
Eddy is survived by his beloved wife Janet of 58 years, daughters Lynda Paris, Valerie Splaine, Karen & Bonnie Mann & son Alan & wife Paula along with grandson’s Michael & Adam Mann, David Goren & wife Veronica, Aaron Mare, granddaughter Olivia Mann & great granddaughter Isabella Goren. Eddy & his hallmark smile will be truly missed by his family & friends.
Grave side service will be held on Thursday October 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Sparkman Hillcrest.
