Edwina "H.D." Nancy Oliver, 73, passed away on September 25, 2020 in Rowlett, Texas. She was born on March 19, 1947 in Kingsville, Texas to Edwin Stanley LaPlant and Nancy Naomi Shaw. Edwina was raised in Kingsville, Texas on King Ranch and at the age of 10, moved to Portland, Maine and then back to Texas where she attended and graduated from cosmetology school in 1962.

She married Michael T. Oliver in 1987 and the couple had a blended family with 7 children. She was a local hair stylist in Dallas for more than 40 years. In her spare time H.D. enjoyed working in the yard, thrift store shopping, watching movies and working puzzle books. Her family and friends will always remember her as a hard working, loving and compassionate woman with a heart full of pure gold.

H.D. is preceded in death by both of her parents and daughter, Heather Garlington. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Michael T. Oliver; children, Anita Kay Patterson, Jennifer Houchins and husband, Wesley, Todd Oliver and wife, Ashley, Danita Morgan and husband, Dennis, Dennis Morris and wife, Cherish and Ciji Owen and husband, David; sisters, Trudy McKeel, Roxanna Lolita Clifford and Roseanna Ouita Dunn and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life for "H.D." will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, Texas 75228 with a time of gathering from 1:00PM to 2:00PM.
