

Elaine Carolyn Bull loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away on February 23, 2021. She was a loved mother, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Elaine will be remembered as a very exceptional person, whose family and friends will miss her love and laughter she brought to their lives.
She was the daughter of Wilton Arthur Frier and Beth Carolyn Word Frier. Elaine grew up in Amarillo, Texas.
As a young girl, Elaine had a number of interests. She was an avid equestrian, and a Girl Scout. In her spare time she liked to ride horses, and loved her dog, Tavy. Elaine graduated from Amarillo High School in 1961. She was a well rounded student with excellent grades.
Elaine enjoyed her college years, she was an honor student through undergraduate and graduate training. She earned her B. S. Degree at West Texas State University in 1964, graduating in 3 years with a double major in Biology and English, and a minor in Chemistry as an Honor Student. Elaine was a member of Alpha Chi sorority. She also pursued graduate school, earning her Master of Science degree at Loyola College in 1977. Her favorite courses were Counseling Psychology, Biology, English and Science. She maintained a 4.0 average, and had her teaching certificate in English, Biology, General Science and Physical Science.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Elaine enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. She became friends life long friends with Pat Ripple, Jeanette Walker, Eileen Friez, and many others. Elaine worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Elaine was blessed with two children and two stepchildren, Daughter D’Anne Elaine Fereday, sons, John Scott Cunningham and stepchildren Brian Douglas Bull, and Elizabeth Bowen Bull. Another blessing for Elaine was the gift of four grandchildren, Christopher Matthew Kelly, Rachel Marie Bull, Sean Joseph Bull and Zachary Dylan Smith.
Elaine leaves behind her daughter, D'Anne Fereday, sons John Scott Cunningham, and Brian Douglas Bull and grandchildren, Christopher Matthew Kelly, Rachel Marie Bull, and Sean Joseph Bull.
Fortunately, Elaine enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Elaine worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her early career was as a school teacher and her primary occupation became an adolescent and family counselor.
Elaine enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were raising, training and showing Thoroughbred and Warmblood horses as hunters and jumpers, scuba diving, gardening, traveling, and skiing.
Throughout her life, Elaine was a doer and was always actively involved in professional and community organizations.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Sunday March 28,2021 at the Hillcrest Memorial Park Lakeside Pavillion at 1:00 p.m.
