Elaine Ann Claxton

Elaine Ann (Kiffer) Claxton, age 64, of Royse City, Texas went to be with Jesus on Good Friday, April 15, 2022, at her home. She was born on February 2, 1958 in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Carl and Helen Kiffer.

Elaine was raised in Rural Valley, Pennsylvania where she graduated from Shannock Valley High School in 1976. She married Dale B Claxton in 2006. She later graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Amberton University in 2010. She worked in configuration management with military contracts for over 10 years. She was now enjoying retirement with her husband at their pond house in the country. She enjoyed gardening, walking, shopping, and going to the salon. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Bailey. Elaine was a member and served at Oasis Church at Lakeview. She was always ready to share her faith and lend a helping hand. She will forever be remembered as a joyful Gigi, compassionate Momma, caring friend and loving wife.

Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Dale B Claxton, of Royse City, TX; daughters, Stephanie F Rearick and fiancé, Bobby Pogue, of Irving, TX, and Rebecca M Arianna and husband, Trevor, of Wylie, TX; granddaughter, Bailey M Arianna; stepson, Nick Claxton, of Mesquite, TX; sister, Eleanor Jones and husband, John, of Rural Valley, PA; niece, Kathy Forester and husband, Randall, of Kenton, OH; nephew, Kevin Jones, of Pittsburgh, PA; and a great niece and several great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Helen R (Smith) Kiffer on May 1, 2020 and Carl J Kiffer on December 21, 2008.

Friends will be received from 3-7pm on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, April, 25, 2022, at Oasis Church at Lakeview, 5700 Mark Ln., Rowlett, TX 75089. Memorial contributions can be made in Elaine’s honor to Oasis Church at Lakeview, 5700 Mark Ln., Rowlett, TX 75089. Arrangements are being handled by Dignity Memorial.
