Elaine R. Dial

Beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, passed away at home on May 24, 2014 surrounded by family. Elaine was born in Decatur, Texas on September 30, 1928 to Dr. T.G. and Myrtle Rogers. She attended Highland Park High School.

She was loved by all who knew her for her sharp wit, warm sense of humor, game skills and love of music. She was a member of several social clubs and community organizations including Calliope Club, Crystal Charity Ball, Dallas Dinner Dance Club, Dallas Garden Club, Junior League of Dallas, Garden Club of the Junior League, Dallas Woman’s Club, Gambado Club, Heritage Club, SOS Investment Club, and the very special GPC (Girl’s Poker Club).

Her son Roland S. Bond III precedes her in death. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Dr. Henry Calhoun Dial; her daughter Carole Bond Jordan and husband, Chris; her grandchildren Claire and George Jordan. She is also survived by stepdaughters Dianne Riddle and husband, Dennis, and Betty Lou Zurbrigen and husband, Scott; granddaughter Lindsay Jones and husband, Jay, and their children, Grace and Gunner; and a niece, Nancy Ogden and husband, Jack, and their son, Chris.

Memorial services will be held at Sparkman Hillcrest on Tuesday, May 27th, 2014 at 12noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Visiting Nurses Association, VNA, 1600 Viceroy Drive, Suite 400, Dallas, TX 75235 or the charity of your choice.
