Elida "Lita" Mendez Porras

Lita was raised in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas and attended Crozier Tech High School in the late 40's. She married Noah Porras Sr. in 1956 and the couple had two children. She was employed at the Bierner and Sons Hat Design Company where she worked for more than twenty years. In her spare time, Lita enjoyed baking, gardening, and she especially loved her collection of angel figurines. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a sweet and loving mother, grandmother, sister, neighbor and friend.

Lita is preceded in death by her parents, Alvino and Clara Mendez; brothers, Louis, Sammy, Abram; sisters, Dora Pedrazine and Anita Rodriguez.

She is survived by her loving family which includes her husband, Noah Porras Sr.; son, Noah Porras Jr. and his wife Martha; daughter, Sandra Adamez and her husband Alex; sister, Alice Del Prado; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
