Elizabeth Rodriguez

August 11, 1951 – November 24, 2020
Obituary of Elizabeth Rodriguez
IN THE CARE OF

Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery

RODRIGUEZ, Elizabeth (aka Chavela, Yogi), 69, from Dallas, born in Waco, Texas, lost her battle with the deadly Covid-19 virus on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. Elizabeth was born August 11, 1951 to Joe Flores and Lydia Garcia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Henry Torres, David Flores, Rita Nunez and Paul De La Rosa.

She is survived by her loving husband and friend of 48 years Damian (Dan); sons Vincent (Lori) Flores, Glendon "Beamer" Flores and Paul "Bullet" De La Rosa, Jr.; granddaughter Desiree Flores Alvarez and great grandson Adrian. Sisters Connie Martinez (Bonnie), Olga Gonzales (Mike) and Susie Paleo (Luis); brother Joe Flores and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

As for friends, it is impossible to name them all since the list would be never ending. Let’s just say our family community has lost one of its best known, loved, crazy, silly, partying, fun-loving, mischievous, joking, prankster (Did I mention crazy?), kindest, giving, bossy, opinionated, TOUGH but soft hearted member. God gave her the greatest gift, to spread love and cheer to everyone she met. We have lost a “one of a kind” wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, Godmother and FRIEND.

Yogi, you will be missed. We will smile and even laugh out loud when we think of you and we are sure this is what you hoped for us and know this makes you happy.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.calvaryhilldallas.com for the Rodriguez family.
