She was born January 11 1923 in Kenton, TN to Walter and Carolyn Smith. Elizabeth split her early years between Jackson TN and Lexington TN. She graduated Valedictorian of her class from Lexington High School in 1941.
In April of 1942 she married Marvin Woodrow (Woody) Taylor of Jackson. They left Jackson in 1943 and came through Dallas on their way to Phoenix. They spent the night in Dallas and never left. Both worked for North American Aviation during the war. The couple had two sons Woody Taylor (1944) and Don Taylor (1949).
Elizabeth retired from Ingersol Rand after 27 years in 1988. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Ruth Aycock of Crenshaw MS and her husband of 50 years Marvin Woody Taylor. She was a lady of strong faith and attended Grace Place Church of Christ in Duncanville TX. Her life will be celebrated on Friday January 9, 2020 at Laurel Land Funeral Home 6300 S. RL Thornton FWY, Dallas at 2:00 PM. She is survived by her son, Woody and wife, Deloris and her son, Don and wife, Jeanne, four grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren
