

Elmer Roland Pugh
December 26th 1936 – July 21st 2020
Elmer Roland Pugh was born to his father Silas David Pugh and his mother Annie Mae Weir Pugh. He was born in Oakwood, Texas, of Leon County where he was raised to do farming with his father, brothers and sisters. Later he finished school and went on to make his mark on the world to find the kind of work that best suited him, by working with his hands. He then later went on to work for another company named Karlee where he became a sheet metal and machine operator where they made Black boxes that went in Aircraft. He later married Sandra Kaye Engle. And he later retired from Karlee’s and they both moved to the country where he bought some property in Frankston, Texas for he and his wife Sandra. He lived there for many years. He became a farmer on the property he bought. He enjoyed working in his garden and growing their own vegetables.
Elmer is preceded in death by his parents and 8 of his brothers and sister, and 1 daughter Alicia Allene Pugh Gomez.
Brothers and sisters: Hugh L. Pugh, James Pugh, David E. Pugh, Faye Cobel, Dorothy Ortiz, Louise Scott, Margie Benavides, and Daisy Wertz.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Kaye Engle and his son Roland Dale Pugh of Houston Texas and daughter Annie Louise Mendoza and husband Carlos of Longview, Texas and 6 Grand Children and 4 Great Grand Children and many Nieces and Nephews throughout the Pugh Family.
Elmer Pugh touched the lives of so many people that he came in contact with. He was a Christian man and studied the bible a lot.
He will be forever be missed by so many of his family and friends that loved him. I know he is walking with all those that has already made their Journey before him, and what a Reunion they are having right now!!! I can just see them ALL!! God Bless You Uncle Elmer!!! We ALL love you!!! Rest in Heavenly Peace.
