Elmer was born April 19, 1962 in Dallas, TX, and passed away February 8, 2015 at the age of 52.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kara (Grounds) Sloan; mother, Joann Taub; children, Jaci Tally and husband Shane of Crandall, Amanda Tally and husband Heath of Kemp, and Matthew Mixon of Irving; grandchildren, Micah, Kindall, Landon, and Emma; sister, Cindy Malone and husband Billy Don; many nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Sloan.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 12 from 12 to 2pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home, and will be followed by Graveside Funeral Services at 2pm at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice, the VA, or to the SPCA.
