Alsenia Sloan, born May 24, 1935 met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the glorious afternoon of June 1, 2016 Alsenia was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Odessa Washington, her husband Booker T. Sloan, her sister Johnnie Lou Washington and by her daughter Cynthia Williams. Alsenia had a heart of gold. She always had a pleasant smile and a joyful spirit. She enjoyed talking to people about the goodness of God and providing words of comfort. When she entered the room everyone would know that she had arrived. She greeted them all with a friendly hello and would say “God is so good to us. He has allowed us to see another day”. Then she would do her little happy dance. Alsenia is survived by her sister Mae Garrett, her two daughters Sharon Cavit and Rose Mary Grant (Darrell), two sons Bertran Johnson and Alonzo Johnson (Angela). Seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, numerous nieces, other relatives and friends.
