Born in Louisiana and came to Dallas after her graduation in 1947 from Northwestern State College in Natchitoches, LA. She met her husband, L Leon Harris on a blind date. It took! After working at Baylor Hospital, she helped her husband develop and operate several businesses. After his death, she continued to run Hillcrest Office Products with her son Martin. She was an avid reader of many subjects and loved to travel. She was active in Republican politics and an active volunteer for: Meals on Wheels, Dallas Museum of Art, Ala-non Family Groups of Dallas, Salvation Army Auxiliary and "The Stew Pot" She tried to be a faithful servant in her love for the Lord, her family and friends.She is survived by: her sister Virginia Holloway, brother John Earl Martin, her children: Mark A Harris,Laurie Harris & Russ Morgan, Martin Harris,Robert and Karen Harris; her grandchildren: Jason Harris, Maegan Harris, Rusty Morgan & Annetta Morgan and many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be 6:00 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Park Cities Presbyterian Church, 4124 Oak Lawn, Dallas, Tx.
