Martin, Elsie F. Porter, born 10-8-1928, Wood Co., TX, passed away into the arms of Jesus on 11-20-2012. She will forever be remembered for her strong faith in the Lord, her giving spirit and love of family. Elsie was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Urbandale. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years. Richard Martin, her parents, Thomas and Katie Porter and three sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Smith (husband Larry), Janet Evans (husband Rusty), 4 grandchildren and sister, Daisy Shearer. The family wishes to thank Dr. Colin Koon, Texas Oncology, and Hospice Plus for their care during her long battle with ovarian cancer. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on November 23rd, 2012, and a Graveside Service at 10:00 a.m. on November 24th, 2012, at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
