Erma Jean Hill "La-La"

Erma Jean Hill was born Thursday, June 27, 1940, in Calvert, Texas to Michael Nolan Lewis and Nettie Mae Simmons. After Erma competed her education in Calvert, she soon moved to Dallas, Texas, where she worked at Owens Illinois until she retired. Erma accepted Christ in her life and attended Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church until she was too ill to attend.

On Tuesday, April 07, 2020, Erma Jean Hill “La-La” entered into her eternal home of Glory. She was

welcomed by her parents; two brothers, Charles Lewis and Haywood Lewis and one sister, Ola Mae.

Erma leaves behind her wonderful four children, Joel Lewis (LaChandra), Phyllis Lewis, Michael Lewis (Genita), Mandell Hill (Tracy); eighteen grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Nakita, Nakelon, Tamara, Lanette, Emmanuel, Nadia, Zakiyyah, Jerome, Chenequa, Chiquana, Demarcus, Dexter, Chaquala, Keomie, Mary, Kianara & Darius; twenty-eight great grandchildren, Dominique (Ebony), Mandell, Siobhan, ShaKya, Marcus, Shaquille, Devonte, Cadarius, Shaqwavia, Pasche, Tea’Andrea, Sutoria, Natisha, Danisha, Morgan, Ja’Mya, Jada, Jaelin, Jayden, Desire, Zregory, ZaNyiah, Mathan, David, Damion, Tiahera, Brandon and Addilynn; two siblings, Terry Lewis and Beverly Lewis-Bluitt and a host of great-great grandchildren, family members and friends. Erma had a beautiful soul and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
