Ladette was born on March 5, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. However, she was raised in Irving, Texas. She was the youngest of 4 children born to the late Robert and Dorothy Brewer. She peacefully departed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on January 4, 2022.
Ladette was educated in Irving Independent School District and graduated from Chester W. Nimitz High School. Some of her fondest memories included being a cheerleader at Bowie and Nimitz High Schools. She earned several professional certifications in Business/Finance. She had a melodious voice and loved to sing. Ladette loved the Lord, her family and football!
Ladette accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifetime member of Greater Allen Temple AME Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. As stated previously, she loved the Lord and shared God’s word with others. With her outstanding leadership skills, she served relentlessly in her church. She was a Steward, President of the choir, Third Vice President of the 10th District WMS, and Treasurer of the North Texas Conference. Combining her passion for the Lord and her love of football, she volunteered with her church at the Dallas Cowboys games. If she was not working, she was in attendance at all games dressed in full Cowboys gear.
Ladette was family oriented and always supported the needs and requests of her family by babysitting, supporting fundraisers, candy sales, graduations and the list goes on. The loves of her life were her daughter Shae and her grand babies Avie and Jacey. Right up until her last days, Avie and Jacey’s “Lola” was giving, supporting, loving and positioning each of them for success in life.
Ladette was employed in the financial service industry for almost 25 years. As Vice President at JP Morgan Chase, she worked in Corporate Real Estate and in Commercial Card Services specializing in serving government, healthcare, higher education and not-for-profit clients. She had significant success in leading one of the largest accounts in Commercial Card Services. Because of her valuable experience and relationship with JP Morgan Chase, Ladette was to be awarded the prestigious Crown Elite Award which is given to top performers in Commercial Card Sales and Relationship Management. This award would have made her a “Triple Crown” winner and would have been her third time winning this award in her tenure with JP Morgan Chase.
Destiny and a bit of serendipity led Ladette to love. In November 2021, she said “YES” to joining Frank Robinson’s hand in marriage.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Shaetavia Lynette Johnson; her granddaughters Avie Juanita Elyse Johnson and Jacey Rose Weathersby; her fiancé Frank Robinson; her brother Lynn Miles (Meshell); her sister DeLisa Oliver (Dionne); her sister-in-law Teresa Miles; her two aunts Zedella Stephenson and Helen Rogers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
