Ernestine Woods Goldstucker, 89, passed away peacefully in Dallas Wednesday, April 16, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held for Monday, April 21 at 2:00pm at Sparkman /Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225.
Ernestine was born January 31, 1925 to Hattie and Noah Woods in Malakoff, Texas. She married Edwin Goldstucker in 1952 and moved to Lubbock as a new bride where they would live to raise their family. She worked as a homemaker and as a pharmacy administrative assistant at St. Mary of the Plains Hospital for over twenty five years and was an active member of Congregation Shaareth Israel in Lubbock. She moved to Dallas seventeen years ago to be closer to family and create another chapter in her life.
Ernestine is survived by her son Mark Goldstucker of Dallas and her daughter Donna Mark and husband Steve of Houston. She is survived by five grandchildren Sam Goldstucker and his wife Lily of Dallas, Gretchen Goldstucker of New York, and Aaron Mark, Jenna Mark, and Dustin Mark all of New York. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin and her son Daryl, her twin sister Jean Marvin, and her four brothers Thurman Woods, Therrell Woods, Leamon Woods, and Lelan Woods.
