

Born August 30, 1946 to Arturo Uresti and Maria Vela. Ernesto was the youngest child of eight siblings… he was blessed to have such loving and caring family responsible for his good upbringing.
In 1966 he married Jaci… they had two children.
In 1973, Ernesto, at the age of 35 accepted Christ as his personal savior while reading Bible Scriptures on healing. The Bible says in Matthew 22:14 “many are called but few are chosen” He was chosen! Ernesto received his calling into the kingdom by reading the good news in the Bible concerning Jesus Christ.
Ernesto began to read the bible every morning and before bedtime… he was fascinated by the scriptures.
In 1975 a dream come true! They became owners of a prestigious, music store “Bledsoe Music Company, Harlingen, Texas.
In 1982 Ernesto received a BA degree and in 1985 he received Master Degree from The University of Texas at Pan American of Edinburg
In 1986 Ernesto and Jaci took an extended “In The Steps Of Jesus Tour” to the Holy Lands, which also included: major parts of Europe … it was an amazing tour that changed their lives!
His life became a legacy of love for his wife Jaci and his children and family! In 1988, they welcomed Ashley…she was an added blessing to their lives.
His children were blessed with spiritual teachings of excellence!
In 2002 … their ownership of their music store came to an end due to recession!
Ernesto, Jaci & Ashley moved to Dallas from the Rio Grande Valley…
he was employed by Dallas ISD and Garland ISD as administrator… he retired in 2016.
As the family grew …Ernesto II, Glenda & Ashley formed their own families. They blessed Ernesto and Jaci with 13 grandchildren, 5 great- grandchildren and a Kitty!
Children from Ernesto II & Yvonne includes Taylor Ryan, Christian Alan, Evan Gabriel, Grant Hunter & Claire Lauren… also five great-grandchildren.
Children from Glenda & David Ferris includes Ciara Nicole, David James Jr., Hannah Jeanne, Nathan Allen, Connor John, Alania Elizabeth, Marissa Ann & Eva Marie.
From their deceased daughter Ashley, an incredibly intelligent 12-year-old kitty name Dante, whom they love as their feline grand baby!
Ernesto is proceeded in death by his parents, three sisters, three brothers and by his daughter Ashley.
Ernesto leaves behind a brother, Arturo Uresti from San Antonio, along with a host of immediate family, plus nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. As Ernesto life evolved to his eternal life with our Lord
A visitation will be held on February 23, 2026, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home, located at 3050 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75247.
The funeral service is scheduled for February 23, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the same location.
Interment will take place on February 23, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
