Everything that I am and all that I have is because of my father Esequiel and my mother Aurora. All they wanted for us was to have a better life than they had. My papa Esequiel worked changing tires and pumping gas because that’s all he ever knew, work and provide for your family. When I was teaching at Baylor College of Dentistry, he would bless my office door and bless my forehead. My success was his success. He loved his family so much and he would work 18 hour days and and we would take off his boots when he got home.
He loved to sing at Church, mama would get mad because he just wanted to be in front of the microphone.
He loved his grandchildren and gave them all the big jar of coins as he collected them,
He just wanted to be with all of us all the time and that was sometimes impossible.
Thank you my sweet precious papa for being my everything and my hero , my prayer warrior and my everything.
Rest In Peace and embrace mama, nena , and Eloy. Wait for us.. we’ll see you soon ,
Rita, Becky and Ruby

My best memory was when Tio Esequiel and Tia Goga would come to Ozona for a visit OR when we would go visit them in Dallas. I remember they spend hours in conversation with my parents and seem to always pick up where they left off in their last visit! As I little kid, I was not very interested in what they were saying, but I was amazed at how detailed their conversations would be. They were the true historians of our families and definitely the glue that held us together...
