Esperanza E. Castillo

 Esperanza Castillo, 92, passed away on July 6th, 2026 in Allen, Texas. She was born February 10th, 1934 to Augustina Mata and Pedro Estrada in La Noria, Guanajuato, Mexico, a small town outside of Guanajuato, Mexico.

​She married Armando Castillo in 1960 and the couple had 3 children. She was a Food Service worker for St. Paul's Hospital in Dallas for more than 25 years.

In her spare time Esperanza enjoyed cooking her authentic Mexican food, listening to music on the radio and spending time with her family.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a warm, caring, generous, and strong person.

Those who knew her, will always remember her for her Kindness. She was beyond exceptional in all that she did. Her legacy of love generosity and compassion for others will continue to inspire us all. We were the lucky ones to have had the pleasure of being in her life. Esperanza will be missed and forever remembered in our hearts.

Esperanza is proceeded in death by her granddaughter, Crystal Castillo.

​She is survived by her daughter Teresa Milhem, son Armando Castillo (wife Lucy Castillo), son Luis Castillo (fiancé Maria Casarez); 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220 on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm, with the Holy Rosary recited at 6:00pm.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the North Chapel (inside the mausoleum) on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11:00am, with the Committal Rites at 12:00pm in Calvary Hill Cemetery, section St. Francis of Assisi.
