Estela Gomez, 64 of Dallas, Texas passed away on March 2, 2020 to be with her LORD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. She was born in Purungeo Municipio De Tiquicheo, Michoacán on January 5, 1956. Estela lost her mother at the age of 12, and took the role taking care of her siblings. There she found her love for cooking. Estela came to the United States in 1978 and became a Resident Alien in 1985 leaving behind 2 children and eventually bringing them to the United States.
Estela always had a passion to cook, feed, and would make a living on her homemade cooking with the dream of one day having her own restaurant. Estela was known as LA TIA ESTELA because she was an AUNT to everyone. In 2002, her dream came TRUE when she opened LA TIA ESTELA RESTAURANT.
Estela was always joyful, fun to be around, and always had people laughing, loved to dance, loved to feed everyone and she was always looking forward to celebrating her birthday.
She is survived by her 4 children, Lazaro Gomez and his wife Grace, María Cruz Gomez and her husband José Luis Sanchez, Hector Gomez and his wife Cindy, Herman Gomez and his wife Leticia. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, Cecilia Gomez, Christian Gomez, Cesia Rangel, Cesar Rangel, Joshua Gomez, Mark Gomez, Gema Gomez, Jonathan Gomez, Nicholas Gomez and his wife Clarissa, Aaron Villalba, Samantha Gomez, Ashleigh Gomez, Madilynn Gomez, Beatriz Gomez, Miranda Gomez, Herman Gomez, Israel Gomez, Eliana Gomez, and by one great grandson, Nicholas Gomez Jr.
