EULA MURIEL TREZEVANT MATTHEWS left her earthly home November 20, 2025. Born to Geneva Mae Daugherty Trezevant and Thomas Drexler Trezevant on January 26. in 1929, she was a graduate of Dallas-Sunset High School. Matthews was a respected businesswoman for decades in the Oak Cliff community, helping establish families in homes, reading to students at Moreno Elementary, being an active member in a neighborhood watch group and encouraging the growth of small businesses in their endeavors.
Eula was a devout Christian, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a beloved aunt and cousin.
Preceded in death by husband, Otis B. Matthews; parents, Geneva and Tom Trezevant and grandparents, Eula and Warren Trezevant of Delhi, LA. Eula Muriel Matthews is survived by sons, Randall Ray Matthews and wife, Sandra of Dallas, TX and Terry Don Matthews of Arlington TX; sister, Helen Peden of Dallas, TX; granddaughters, Sara Kirshner, Amanda Hulett, Jeanne Matthews, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
