After joining the army she served in occupied Japan and later worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital Dallas.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, nine brothers and sisters, and two nephews, including pro-golfer Larry Nabholtz and SMU professor John L. Nabholtz.
Evelyn is survived by George "Duffy" J. Nabholtz Jr, great nieces Elizabeth N. Allen and Megan Nabholtz, Bobbe Nabholtz, Diane Nabholtz, and long time caretaker Gerry Dunagan, all of Dallas.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 4th at 10:00am at Sparkman-Hillcrest in Dallas, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Kenwood Ave.
