Ezzard Allen Owens

Ezzard Alan Owens was born the evening of September 5, 1963 in Oklahoma City Oklahoma, to the union of Emerson Alvin Owens Sr. and Mary Frances Owens. His love for music and sports was demonstrated at an early age as he taught himself to play piano and placed highly in statewide track and field competition. As a graduated of Northeast High School, he played on the varsity basketball team while he also excelled in band on saxophone and drums. He graduated with the class of 1980 and continued on to Oklahoma State University.

Ezzard had a wide range of career experiences from Personal Banker to Trucker Driver and a Licensed Insurance Agent.

As a young man he was a dedicated member of the Worldwide Church of God, but recently he became a member of Rockwall Friendship Baptist Church on May 22, 2022 where he felt and embraced The Love of God.

On June 7, 2022 @1:35am, Ezzard made his peaceful transition from this earthly life.

Ezzard is preceded in passing by his father, Emerson, A Owens Sr. and his brother Emerson A. Owens Jr. He leaves to mourn his loss, his mother: Mary F. Johnson, Three Siblings: Sonja M. Owens-Cruz, Timothy T. Owens and Teiana Owens-Jones, Sister-In-Law: Kathryn “Jaz” Owens, Four Nephews: Jamil Owens, Brandon Owens, Jared Owens, and Miguel Cruz Jr., Nieces: Shaliyah Jones and Amari Jones. Great Nephew: Elijah Owens, Great Niece: Nia Owens, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
