F. E. Parrent

F.E Parrent passed away on August 17, 2019 in his home, with family by his side, at the age of 92.

Born in Headrick, OK on July 29, 1927 he was one of 11 children. In 1945 he met the love of his life, Dorsie L. Nix, and they married 6 weeks later. They have been happily married for 72 years. In 1953 he moved to Dallas, TX with his family and later ended up in Ovilla, TX where they have been for the past 48 years. Mr. Parrent was an Army Veteran and he owned and operated F.E. Parrent Sand and Gravel for over 50 years. He enjoyed spending his free time at Cedar Creek Lake and traveling to Colorado to trout fish during the warmer months and snow ski in the winter.

He was preceded in death by his parents James and Mabel Parrent, 10 brothers and sisters, and 1 grandchild.

He is survived by his wife-Dorsie L. Parrent. His children Cynthia Lee Crocker, Frederick Ervin Parrent Jr., Marc Steven Parrent and Christie Jan Parrent. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Fred was a God loving man, a proud patriot and had more integrity in his pinky than most people have in their entire body. He was a loving and generous man with a dry sense of humor and when he spoke people listened. One piece of advice he always gave was to keep God first and the rest will follow. Fred enjoyed being with family and friends and he will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
