Freda Pauline (Moses) Smith was born April 16, 1928 in Honey Grove, Texas to John Tilman Moses and Ollie Bell (Beaver) Moses. She passed from this life on March 20, 2024 at the age of 95.
Pauline as she was known by was a except able sister, wife and mother. She raised two sons alone in a time where divorce was almost unheard of. She packed up her sons and what belongings she had in 1958 and moved from Oklahoma City to Dallas, to start a new life. She began her career with Kroger Food Stores and held the position of Head Casher when she retired.
One thing she prided herself on was if she told you “I love you” she really did. She always said those three words were easy to say but hard to really mean.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Merle Smith, Billy Jack Ivey son and many sisters she loved dearly.
Survived by son Donald Ray Ivey and Wife Pat, 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter Chris Ivey, Richard Ivey, Marquis Ivey, Justin Ivey and Brennon Ivey and Anglia Napps, 18 great grandchildren.
The last words she uttered to her son was “Take me Home” and she is now there.
