Passed away peacefully in Dallas, Texas on September 26, 2016 at the age of 84. Survived by his daughter in law, Nira Thornton; grandchildren, Robert and Christy Thornton and Jennifer and Kenny Tyler ; great-grandchildren, Kayelynn, Brantley and Madalynn. Farrell is preceded in death by his parents, Kittie and Louie Thornton; wife, Betty Thornton; and son, David Thornton.
