Faustino "Tino" Galván was born in the small, rural town of San Agustin, Chihuahua, Mexico, on February 15, 1951 to parents Miguel Galván and Martina Rodriguez. He was preceded in death by his parents and his elder siblings, Susana Galván and Arturo Galván.
Tino is survived by his wife Anna Sylvia Galván and their four children:
Lauro Miguel Galván, his wife, Joy and their daughter, Reya Dawn
Omar Galván and his wife, Petra
Violeta Galván
Erica Galván
His sister, San Juana Falcon and many nieces, nephews and cousins
His Spiritual son, Francisco Escamilla, his wife Alma and their daughter, Jael
His Spiritual nephew, Arturo Amador
Tino married his childhood sweetheart, Anna Sylvia Gutierrez on June 23, 1974 and again on June 14, 1975. They welcomed their four children over 9 years.
Over his lifetime Tino performed many jobs, too numerous to recount, but eventually found his passion in cultivating and caring for the Earth. He founded Tino's Yard Care & More in 1989.
Tino was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in November 1993 at the Denton Assembly Hall. He was privileged to serve as a Ministerial Servant in the Balch Springs Congregation until the family moved to the Pleasant Grove English Congregation, where he was privileged to serve as a Ministerial Servant and then as an Elder.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses Tino truly enjoyed the volunteer work such as the Ministry, serving alongside his dear Spiritual Brothers and Sisters, and teaching others about our Loving Father, Jehovah and the promise of the coming Kingdom; and participating in the LDC work, where he joyfully helped in the building projects and sharing his vast knowledge of landscaping and construction.
Tino's family has faith in Jehovah's promise to resurrect those sleeping in death.
Job 14: 13 - 15 says, "O that in the Grave you would conceal me, That you would hide me until your anger passes by, That you would set a time limit for me and remember me! If a man dies, can he live again? I will wait all the days of my compulsory service Until my relief comes. You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands."
In the very near future we know Jehovah will call and Tino will be among those who awaken. We look forward to seeing him again and praising our God, Jehovah, as we join Tino in the work of beautifying our planet into a Paradise Earth.
Memorial will be held April 24, 2021 in English at 6PM, en Español a las 7PM (Central) over ZOOM.
