Tino was raised in El Paso, Texas and he graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso. He later married Olga Muñoz and in 1969, they moved to Irving. The couple had 3 children: Lorena (Lore), Diana and Daniel.
Tino served in the U.S. Army, after which he began a long career for the Federal Government. After 29 years of service, Tino retired. In his retirement, Tino worked as an admissions counselor for Northlake College where he helped to shape the career paths of many students.
In Tino’s spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his large family, including his nine grandchildren, who kept him laughing with joy. Tino’s family and friends will always remember him as a generous, kind and giving person. Tino was always active in community matters, and his passion for equality and representation for the Hispanic community helped make Irving a better city for generations to come. Tino will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Tino is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Guadalupe Soto and his brother, Francisco Soto.
Left to cherish Tino’s memory are his wife of 55 years, Olga Soto; Daughter Lore and husband Carlos, their children, Joshua, Robert and wife, Natali, Nicolas, and Sabrina; Daughter Diana and her children, Sydney and Olivia; Son Daniel and his wife Yurika, their children, Nathan, Dominic and Alexia.
A visitation for Faustino will be held Friday, April 28, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A rosary will occur from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
