Felipe Aguillon, 71, of Tamaulipas, Mexico, beloved husband of 48 years to Raquel Cedillo, peacefully passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. He was born on November 22, 1949, son of the late Felipe and Maria Antonia Vasquez. Felipe met Raquel Cedillo in 1972, and the couple married a year later. Soon after, they had three children, Zulma, Yezenia, and Carlos. Felipe was an entrepreneur, running his own auto repair shop for a decade before becoming a full-time auto technician. Even after ”retiring,” Felipe still found himself taking on friends’ projects and finding infinite ways to keep his hands busy. And on his off days, he always made time to wake up early and make the rounds visiting his family and friends. Felipe’s favorite times were spent with his pride and joy, his grandchildren. Known for his singing and signature whistling, Felipe’s joy was infectious, and he was often heard before he was seen. He loved to make people laugh, and one of his favorite pastimes was browsing estate sales with his wife Raquel, showing off his most unique finds to his grandchildren. His family and friends will always remember him as a kind and loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and an example of how to lead and love a family. Felipe is preceded in death by his parents, Felipe Aguillon Sr. and Maria Antonia Vasquez; son, Carlos Felipe Aguillon; brother, Ramiro Aguillon. He is survived by his wife, Raquel C. Aguillon; daughters, Zulma Yadira and husband Jose Prado, Yezenia and husband Clyde Anthony Garcia; eight grandchildren, Alison, Gabriela, Maryjane, Nevaeh, Michael, Samantha, Liberty, and Matthew.

Grampa, my bestfriend. Where do I start ? We’ve had SO MANY memories together that I will forever cherish. Not a moment that I took you for granted. One for sure, we’d always had our coffee in the morning and talk about anything. We would laugh, shed tears and had many laughters together. You’d always get me breakfast every single day, our usual biscuits & gravy from Carl’s Jr. , breakfast Jack from Jack & the box and croissant biscuits from Burger King. Also we’d watch Criminal Minds all the time, that’s how my obsession with that show started. We would also scroll through Facebook and look at the posts about the government, News, this & that, you would show me and tell me how stupid people are for doing this or that. When the insurance companies would call you all day & you would go off on them while I sit next to you laughing my butt off recording you and the senior living homes too would all tell you “you requested to live here” lol but little did you know I put your number for them to call you. All the times me, you and Grama would go to our same restaurants in order as well which were El Rincon, Normas & Smokey Joe’s. Oh yeah you always got me barbacoa every Saturday too from Mercado Monterrey and we’d sit at the table and prepare avocado, our favorite salsa, warm up the tortillas and get our coffee ready. After I get off from work, I would bust through the door yelling “hello grandparents, I’m home, did y’all miss me ??” & I hear you say “ay como chingas Gaby” or when I would knock on your bedroom door continuously until you get upset and tell me “pasale Gaby, tu vives aqui cobrona” or anytime I would try to get your attention from you ignoring me, you would tell me “porfavor callete tu sico” or “mejor duermete”, we would bump heads too but we’d go back to eachother & apologize w a hug, a kiss on the cheek & a I love you mija/Grampa. We could never stay mad eachother. You would always & I mean always tell me “eres la unica nieta con nosotros”. I love you bff
