Floyd Thomas “Tommy” Moore was born January 19, 1935 in Dallas, TX, and passed away June 19, 2014 in Mesquite, TX.

Tommy graduated from Crozier Tech High School in 1954, and was a great car enthusiast who loved drag racing, auto painting which he learned at Eastfield College, and even rebuilt a Shelby Mustang from the frame up. He was one of the founding members of the NTMC, a member of the SCAT, and the Accelerators car clubs.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Moore; son, Larry Moore and wife Melissa; granddaughter, Jennifer Vaughan and husband Zack; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Kara Vaughan; and sisters-in-law, Patsy, Bobbie, and Peggy.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 24 from 6:30 to 9:00 PM, and Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 25 at 10:00 AM, all at Grove Hill Funeral Home, and will be followed by Interment at Grove Hill Memorial Park.

Mary Jane,
I am Raymond Akin's daughter. My grandparents were Lois and Bob Makoy. Lois was Floyd's sister. I heard such wonderful things about you and Tommy and Larry throughout my growing up years. I also have such fond memories do Alma and Floyd. I was saddened to hear that Tommy passed away. I hope you and Larry can overcome your loss and have a paced up life.
