Fouad travelled the world at a young age and eventually settled in Miami, Florida, where he met and married his wife Dulce Maria Hughes. He worked as a self employed contractor for most of his adult life with an incredible set of home remodeling skills. Fouad was best known for his love of life and taught all of us to live life to the fullest. He was an avid coin collector and a huge Dallas Cowboy fan. Family get togethers were his favorite times of year. He was also well known by all for being a fantastic chef in the kitchen. He loved to make Arabic food, especially grape leaves, kibbeh, tabbouleh, and hummus, which we all enjoyed eating together as a family.
Fouad was a wonderful father and was extremely giving. He was a great carpenter and had built many things around the home and for others over the years. His creativity for building had no limits. He loved his wife, family and grandchildren very much. Spending time together gave him a lot of joy, even during the times when he was ill.
Fouad was married to Dulce Maria Hughes on August 25, 1973. They have been married for 48 years and were blessed with two wonderful sons. He was a devoted father, grandfather (also known as Jido), and husband and will be missed by us all.
Fouad was preceded in death by his parents, Tanus and Linda, and his brother Elias. Fouad is survived by his wife, Dulce Maria Berbarie, brother Riad, sister Aida, sister in law Olga, son Rafic Berbarie and daughter in law Tammy Berbarie, son Edward Berbarie, grandchildren Gabriel (13), Christian (12), Abigail (12), Anna (11), Oscar (10), nieces Rinoula, Paraskevi, Mayi, Hannah, Ashley and Linda, nephews Tony, Ricky, Andrew, Toni, Petros and Constantin, many cousins and friends.
