Frances Zimmerman Mankovsky passed away peacefully on Oct. 2, 2011 in Round Rock, Texas. She was born July 11, 1920 to Annie and Jake Zimmerman in Dallas, Texas. She married the love of her life, Isadore (Sonny) Mankovsky on December 28, 1941. During her lifetime, she was active in garden clubs and in Temple Emanu-El. She worked in Sonny’s dry goods store, and she assisted him when he traveled in the shoe business. Together, they became weekend farmers at the Lazy M Ranch, raising horses and cattle. Frances and Sonny loved traveling with friends. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Isadore (Sonny), her brother Milton Zimmerman, and her great granddaughter Olivia Annmarie Mankovsky. She is survived by children: Dr. Jerald Mankovsky and wife Sherrie of Austin; Sandra Stein, Alan Stein and wife Laree all of Dallas, grandsons: Scott Stein and wife Louise, Adam Stein and Ryan Griffin of Dallas, Brent Stein and wife Carrie, Joshua Mankovsky and wife Kirby, Jacob Mankovsky and Jonah Mankovsky all of Austin, great grandchildren: Evan, Zachary and Cooper Stein of Austin and Alexandra Stein of Dallas, sister-in-law Shirley Zimmerman and nieces Beverly (Jackson) Salasky of Dallas and Cheryl (Paul) Rodbell of Atlanta. Graveside service will be Tuesday, October 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park-Beit Olam in Dallas.
