Frances Womack Martin

Frances Womack Martin, 77, of Waco, Texas passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born on March 29, 1948 in Durant, Oklahoma to Robert Wilson and Jean Elizabeth Steakley.

Frances graduated from Richfield High School and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Waco, Texas for many years. She volunteered many hours at Fuzzy Friends Rescue Center. Frances was a friend to all and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jeanie German; and her loving husband, Clyde Douglas Martin.

Frances is survived by her sons; Sean Womack and wife, Mary Beth, of Cave Springs, Arkansas, Brad Womack and daughter-in-law, Alicia, of Mansfield, Texas, stepbrother; Tory Vanetta-Steakley and wife, Tiffany, of Belton, Texas, stepdaughter; Jenny Martin Terrell and husband, Kelly, of Trophy Club, Texas, and stepson; John Martin, of Waco, Texas. She has five grandchildren; Daniel Womack and wife, Holynd, Ellen Court and husband, Connor, Michala Arnold, Zoe Womack, & Siana Womack. She has one great-grandson; Brooks Womack, her brother; Robert Steakley III, and a host of nieces and nephews. She looked forward to visits with her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Frannie”. Frannie, we will always love and miss you. Your beautiful smile and infectious laugh will live in our hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 2:00pm at Sparkman/ Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas where she will be laid to rest alongside her mother and grandparents.
