Frances Elizabeth (Farley) Moore, 88, of Dallas, TX, died on Dec. 27, 2012, of cardiopulmonary failure, at a local Dallas hospital. She now joins her loving husband, Robert Eugene (Bob) Moore, who preceded her in death.
Born Dec. 12, 1924 to Paul E. and Maxine Kendall Farley, she was raised by her beloved grandfather, William B. Kendall, mother, grandmothers, aunts and uncles, in University Park, at the family’s home on Normandy Street. Her siblings Paul E. Farley, Jr. and Nancy Jane Bond preceded her in death. She graduated from Highland Park High School, in 1940, and attended SMU.
Frances loved life, throwing parties, and getting everyone to “get together” and keep up with each other, especially at her birthday and Christmas. We will continue and celebrate “The Tradition.” She loved and was proud of the accomplishments of her grandchildren (Jeremy and Christopher Leibs, Chelsea and husband Cameron Kirkland, Michelle and Rachel Moore), and learned recently that a great grandchild is on the way.
Her nephews and nieces, Bertie, Billy and Adrienne Bond, Danny, Beverly, Kenny and Barry Farley, Mike and Renee Moore, and Kathy and Hudson Lockett, were very dear to her.
Survivors include her children, David Leibs and wife Lydia (of California), Robert E. Moore Jr. and wife Pamela (of Fort Worth), James K. Moore, and Nancy D. Moore, as well as beloved brother-in-law James H. Bond, all of Dallas.
Frances and Bob owned Random Galleries, in the 1960s, and helped launch careers for many local painters and artists. Frances encouraged all people to use their talents.
Visitation, Jan. 3 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. N.W. Highway. Funeral services, Jan. 4 at 1 p.m. at her beloved St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Dallas, burial following.
