Frances Estelle Powell Patterson

Frances Estelle Powell Patterson, 86, of Dallas, TX, died at home, with her family on 19 September 2014. Mrs. R.D. Patterson was born in Corsicana, TX on 21 August 1928 to Jackson “Jacko” Henry Powell and Maudie Odessa Carlin. She and her parents lived on their farm in Corsicana until 1945 when at the age of 17, her father took a job with the Frito Lay Company in Dallas. She married Ralph Dall (R.D.) Patterson, of Edom, Van Zandt County, TX on 30 August 1947. She worked with her late husband for Western Bell (Electric) and retired after 25 years. Mrs. R. D. Patterson is survived by her only daughter, Linda Carol Patterson Cook, Borger, TX, her son-in-law, Norman E. Cook, Borger, TX, her granddaughter, Leslie Anne Cook Sustaita, Dallas, TX, her great-granddaughter, Elaine Elliott, Stinnett, TX, great-grandson, Tyler Dall Elliott, great-grandson Christopher Matthew Cook Stelly, Jacksonville, FL, and maternal aunt Marie Marcellite Carlin, Garland, TX. Mrs. R.D. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Dall Patterson, father, Henry Jackson Powell, mother, Maudie Odessa Carlin Powell, and granddaughter, Sherry La Sha Cook Elliott. A private graveside will be held for family and friends on Tuesday 23 September 2014 at Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
