Frank “Pancho” Lopez was born on August 11, 1956, and died on September 7, 2026, at the age of 70. A resident of Grand Prairie, Texas, Pancho will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew and loved him.
Pancho was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Lopez and Fanny Urioste; his grandparents, Guillermo and Margarita Lopez and Abelino and Margarita Urioste; his brothers, Manuel Lopez Jr., Adan Lopez, Daniel Lopez and Victor Lopez; and his daughter, Elaine Gauna.
Those closest to Pancho knew the steady warmth of his presence and the unmistakable spark of his humor. He had a gift for making people feel seen—often with a nickname ready for nearly everyone he met, and for many children as they came into the world. In simple, everyday moments, he brought lightness and familiarity that people carried with them long after.
Pancho was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan through every season, loyal whether they won or lost, and proud to stand by his team without hesitation. He also shared a special bond with his beloved fur baby, Coco—his constant companion, always ready to go wherever he went, and sure to miss him deeply.
Pancho is survived by his longtime companion, Janie Robles. He is also survived by his children, Fanny Lopez of Arlington, TX, Crystal Lopez of Amarillo, TX, and Timothy Lopez of Amarillo, TX; and by his stepson, Ricky Gauna of Grand Prairie, TX.
